Our staff team consists of four family & volunteer co-ordinators, project workers and an administrative team.
Theresa Burke is the Senior Co-ordinator and manages the scheme. As a co-ordinator, she recruits, trains and supports home-visiting volunteers, as well as visiting families who are referred to us from the rural area in south Kirklees - the Holme, Colne and Dearne Valleys. Theresa also matches families in those areas with volunteers.
Kay Williams is co-ordinator for the central Huddersfield area; Michelle Steadman covers north Kirklees; and Shabana Amin covers part of the central Huddersfield area as well as offering our service to families with Asian language needs. Like Theresa, they all recruit, train and support volunteers, before matching them to referred families in their areas.
Julie Walsh, a former volunteer, works as our family outreach worker, offering intensive support to around five families at a time around Kirklees.
Angela Schofield , another former volunteer, is our Teenage Parents Group worker, offering support in a group setting to very young parents and their children.
Our Admin team is led by Jacqui Brown, who is also our bookkeeper. Jacqui is usually the first point of contact for people calling our office and they will make sure you get the information you need.
